  • Description of a potential applied research project, including a 300-word description of the conservation topic/challenge you would like to explore, and a 200-word description of the types of methods that you might use to understand this topic. We do not expect you to have a fully-developed proposal or methods, but we are interested in your initial ideas.
  • Full CV

Applications are invited from:

  • Nepali residents
  • Candidates with a demonstrated passion for the environment, and a commitment to a career in the conservation sector in Nepal
  • Candidates with a specific interest in the applied social dimensions of conservation (e.g., environmental policy, behaviour change, resource management, conservation conflicts, trade dynamics).  The Fellowship is not appropriate for researchers with a primary interest in ecology
  • Most (but not all) Fellows will already hold a Masters degree and/or relevant professional experience
  • Candidates from groups under-represented in conservation are especially encouraged to apply, including women, ethnic minority and LGBTQ+ candidates
